My Papa Who Moves

When our loved ones begin to act in ways that don’t seem normal, children and adults want to know why they are behaving in these strange ways. As we allow and encourage questions about Parkinson’s Disease and its symptoms, we are bringing children and adults closer together. We must always be willing to discuss the disease and its effect on the person we love. We should never let Parkinson’s Disease become the thing we won’t talk about. It must never become the elephant in the room.

Reviews

“I really love that you are bringing a book like this to life. My grandpa had Parkinson’s and I did not understand what that meant. A book like this would have really interested me when I was nine years old. Keep up the good work.”

Isaiah Kazarovich | Midwest Author

“I love this book. I think it helps explain things at a perfect level and the idioms are a good vehicle for the humor. I get a clear sense of Papa and his determination and humanity. Lots of important lessons for all of us here.”

Judith Foy | Ph.D., Professor Emerita, Loyola Marymount University (Department of Psychological Science)
